handmade ceramics, crafted with love
After years of playing in different art mediums I found my obsession in clay. There is so much to learn, with an experiment in every project and a constant test of patience. Both meditative and challenging at the same time!
coco pots is my home based studio, and I hand-make everything. Every piece is fired between 2-4 times in my kiln. Because they are handmade, and I am human, they are not perfect. But they are made with so much love and I hope you love them, too.

about coco pots
Hello and welcome! My name is Courtney. I took the nickname "coco" when my babies were tiny and their friends couldn't pronounce my name.
I've lived in the Encinitas area for 25 years, and I'm endlessly inspired by travel — and by coming home to our sandy beaches, deep blue waves, and rocky hills, especially the funky vibe of Leucadia. I love modern art and mid-century design, always wavering between clean, bold lines and bright, wild color. And underneath it all is my deep connection to nature.
I'm always chasing something new to learn. I take workshops throughout the year to keep growing as a maker — from form and surface design to sculpture — and nearly every piece I make comes out a little different, because I love to experiment and follow where the clay wants to go.
*Unless noted otherwise, my ceramics are food safe and dishwasher safe — though hand-washing is always recommended for any handmade piece.
